What are the advantages of RFID over Barcodes?

RFID has several major advantages over Barcodes,

• Barcodes require line of sight to be read RFID tags do not,
• Barcodes can only be read one at a time multiple RFID tags can be read at the same time,
• Barcodes have a limited read range whilst RFID tags can be read at up to 30 feet. 

Barcodes can only store a limited amount of information which remains fixed, RFID tags can store much ore information and this can be updated and changed.
