What Type of Passive Tag should I use?

Different environments and needs are best served by different tags and technologies.  Metal and liquids cause interference for passive tags and consequently the lower frequency tags such as LF and HF have been used in tracking objects with these properties.  For some applications where a physical check of a machine for example takes place these types of tags are also suitable as the operator has to be in close proximity to the machine.

If however you were wanting to log and track goods in and out of a warehouse then UHF with its greater range would be a more suitable technology.
